The deadline for all societies and divisions awards/competitions for submissions or nominations is February 18, 2024 The deadline to notify the winners and Amy Straub at IISE Headquarters is March 24, 2024. This allows time for any production, printing, shipping, etc., deadlines to be met for the IISE Annual Conference & Expo.

The Best Track Paper award recognizes the achievements of researchers within the various division tracks. The winners are decided among the abstracts submitted through the conference app and the papers are presented each year at the IISE Annual Conference.
Construction Engineering and Management (CEM) Division
This student competition is for papers and projects demonstrating or describing the use of industrial engineering tools in a construction environment.
Data Analytics and Information Systems (DAIS)
The Data Analytics Competition is an annual student competition held by the Data Analytics and Information Systems (DAIS) division. The main objective of the competition is to provide the students with the opportunity to learn and improve their data analysis and visualization skills through working with real-world sized publicly available datasets.
This student competition is for papers and projects demonstrating or describing the use of industrial engineering tools in a data analytics and information systems (DAIS) environment.
The purpose of this competition is to honor outstanding papers in research and practice of data analytics and information systems.
IISE-DAIS Mobile App competition is designed to provide students with opportunities of developing practical mobile apps and taking business initiatives for the mobile apps in the field of industrial and systems engineering.
This award recognizes an individual who has made significant contributions to the field of Data Analytics and Information Systems.
This award recognizes individual faculty for sustained performance of excellence in teaching DAIS-related courses.
Energy Systems (ES) Division
The award will recognize ES division members who have made sustained and exceptional contributions to research and applications in energy systems.
The award, sponsored by Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E), and co-organized with the Energy Systems (ES), Quality Control & Reliability Engineering (QCRE) divisions of IISE, recognizes IISE members who excel in designing an analytics-based solution to a practical energy systems’ challenge.
This award recognizes student members whose paper and presentation both represent the highest level of excellence.
This award recognizes the best paper that is submitted to Energy Systems Division during each year’s IISE Annual Conference & Expo.
This award recognizes members for their technical contribution to manufacturing and design.
Engineering Economy (EE) Division
This student competition is for papers and projects demonstrating or describing the use of industrial engineering tools in an engineering economy environment.
This award recognizes excellence in industry practice of engineering economy concepts.
This award recognizes and promotes the outstanding teaching of engineering economy.
The Wellington Award recognizes outstanding contributions in the field of engineering economy.
Logistics and Supply Chain (LSC) Division
This competition, open to graduate and undergraduate ISE students, honors outstanding papers in the field of logistics and supply chain.
This award recognizes excellence in industry practice of logistics and supply chain.
This competition recognizes teams who demonstrate innovative use of logistics and supply chain concepts in the analysis of a relevant LSC case.
This award recognizes excellence in teaching of logistics and supply chain courses.
Manufacturing and Design (M&D) Division
The Best Track Paper Award recognizes outstanding contributions in manufacturing or design.
The best student paper competition recognizes excellence in a paper.
This award recognizes outstanding accomplishments and impact in manufacturing or design.
This award occurs Bi-Annually and in odd number years. This award recognizes contributions to leadership in public and community matters, the M&D division, the manufacturing engineering profession or the manufacturing industry.
This award recognizes outstanding teaching work that includes the development of curriculum and dissemination of courses in Manufacturing and/or Design.
This award recognizes M&D members for their technical contribution to manufacturing and design.
Modeling and Simulation Division
This award recognizes the achievements of researchers in Modeling & Simulation. It is presented each year at the IISE Annual Conference.
The track student paper award is intended to recognize the achievements of student researchers (undergraduate and graduates) in the area of M&S.
This award recognizes the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE) members for excellence in the practice and application of Modeling & Simulation (M&S). It is presented each year at the IISE Annual Conference.
This award recognizes M&S members in teaching M&S courses.
Operational Excellence Division
This award recognizes organizations for innovative and effective implementation of lean principles and practices that deliver exemplary business performance improvement.
This award, open to graduate and undergraduate ISE students, honors outstanding papers in the field of lean research and practices.
This award recognizes excellence in teaching lean concepts.
Operations Research
The Operations Research Division of IISE invites nominations for its annual national award recognizing excellence in teaching operations research.
This award recognizes scholarly work as well as the ability to communicate results effectively from an undergraduate student or student teams.
Quality Control and Reliability Engineering (QCRE) Division
The purpose of this competition is to honor outstanding papers in the field of quality and/or reliability engineering research and practice.
The QCRE Division of the IISE organizes the Data Challenge Award to recognize excellence in data modeling techniques among the submissions to the QCRE Data Challenge.
The William A.J. Golomski Award honors the outstanding paper in the proceedings of the Annual Reliability and Maintainability Symposium (RAMS) authored or co-authored by a member of IISE.
This award recognizes excellence in teaching the principles and practices of QCRE.
Society for Engineering and Management Systems (SEMS)
This is open to graduate and undergraduate ISE students and should demonstrate or describe the use of techniques which improve productivity and quality through effective and economical managerial techniques and philosophies.
The SEMS Division aims to recognize and honor an individual who has significantly advanced the knowledge and practice of engineering and management systems in the realm of industrial engineering education. The award will be presented at the IISE Annual Conference & Expo.
Society for Health Systems (SHS)
Teams of a maximum of four ISE graduate students solve a "real-world" healthcare situational case study.
Recognizes professionals who use systems engineering concepts to improve care by partnering with clinicians, administration, and patients to improve efficiency and effectiveness of care.
Student Chapters - YouTube Video Contest
To promote the industrial engineering profession to high school students, teachers and college counselors.
Sustainable Development (SD) Division
To encourage students to continue developing the field of sustainability and contributing with high quality research contribution.
This award recognizes successful improvement projects conducted with a not-for-profit that supports at least one of the 17 UN sustainable development goals.
The Sustainable Development Division recognizes the contribution of an individual advancing the knowledge and practice of sustainability in the field of industrial engineering.
Work Systems
This competition serves as an incentive to encourage students to continue developing the field of Work Systems.
This award recognizes an individual advancing the knowledge and practice in work systems.
