Operations Research

About the Division

Members of this division are involved in applications and methodologies of operations research, including optimization, stochastic modeling, simulation, game theory, and machine learning. The division’s purpose is to develop, maintain, and disseminate a body of technical knowledge; foster technical networking; and represent the operations research discipline within IISE.

Leadership

The Operations Research (OR) leadership consists of a President, President-Elect, Past-President and 5 Directors. The directors serve a 2-year term. The President serves a 3-year term, 1 year as President-Elect, 1 year as President, and 1 year as Past-President. 2 Student Leader Board members may be appointed to the board for 1 -2 year terms.

Honors and Awards

The Operations Research Division has 3 competitions and awards. The Best Track Paper Competition, the Undergraduate Student Research Dissemination Competition, and the Teaching Award.
