Sustainable Development Division
Mission and Purpose
The mission of the Sustainable Development Division is to advance the general welfare of humankind by applying the resources and creative abilities of the industrial engineering profession to the development of sustainable societies.
The purposes of the Sustainable Development Division of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers are to:
- Develop, maintain and disseminate a body of technical knowledge.
- Provide a forum for technical networking.
- Be perceived as the voice of the technical specialty.
- Support IISE's mission, provide member value and promote the discipline.
About the Division
The Sustainable Development Division has approximately 2,000 members, from which 70% are students and 30% are industry professionals. We are always accepting volunteers that want to get involved in our Division. Webinars
The Sustainable Development Division hosts educational webinars through IISE. These free one-hour presentations are a benefit of your IISE membership. They are presented by knowledgeable professionals and experienced volunteers provide deeper insight into topics and issues involving industrial engineers and industrial engineering-related disciplines.
