Do not make non-refundable travel arrangements until you receive confirmation that the course will be taught. This is typically announced three weeks prior to the start of the class. Occasionally insufficient enrollment forces IISE to cancel a scheduled class.

Classroom Training

The majority of IISE classroom training is held at IISE headquarters in the Atlanta metro area in Norcross, Georgia. Some IISE courses are available in other locations. The site for each course is listed on the schedule page for the course. Classes are held from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Please plan to arrive at least 10 minutes early for sign in on the first day.

For transportation to and from the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, please contact the Atlanta Airport Superior Shuttle Service which provides transportation from the airport to the hotel. The charge is $35 one-way and $65 round trip. They are located on Island C-8 at Ground Transportation. Reservations can be made at (770) 457-4794 or online. Taxi fare from the airport to Norcross is approximately $60.

Online Training

Our online training courses, featuring several Lean and Six Sigma offerings, allow you to learn on your schedule. Please click here for details on this format.

Certification

Individuals who complete all of the course requirements will receive the Lean (or Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma) Green (or Black) Belt. This certification is valid for three years and must be renewed by emailing cs@iise.org. There will be a $25 fee to cover administrative costs associated with the renewal. Lost certificates may be replaced using the same process.

CEUs

As an IACET Authorized Provider, IISE offers CEUs for its programs that qualify under the ANSI/IACET standard. IISE is accredited by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training and is authorized to issue the IACET CEU.

ACE Credit® Program

The American Council on Education's College Credit Recommendation Service (ACE CREDIT®) has evaluated and recommended college credit for IISE's Six Sigma Black Belt courses. Founded in 1918, ACE is the major coordinating body for all the nation's higher education institutions, representing more than 1,600 college and university presidents and more than 200 related associations nationwide. It provides leadership on key higher education issues and influences public policy through advocacy. For more information, visit the ACE CREDIT website at www.acenet.edu/credit.

Tax Credits and Deductions

Receive a tax credit for employee training. For qualification information, call (866) 808-9729. Treasury regulation 1.162.5 permits an income tax deduction for educational expenses (registration fees and cost of travel, meals, and lodging) undertaken to maintain or improve skills required in one's employment or other trade or business, or meet express requirements of an employer or law imposed as a condition of retention of employment, job status or rate of compensation.

Team Discounts

To encourage team participation, IISE offers a discount of $50 off each registration for two to four people, and $100 off each registration of five or more. Registrations must be received at the same time, and team members must be from the same company location. Online courses are not eligible for the team discount. No other discounts or coupons apply with the team discount. To receive the discount, contact customer service at cs@iise.org or 1-800-494-0460.

Cancellation Policy

A full refund, less a $50 processing fee, is available if IISE is notified in writing 30 days prior to the training start date. Registrations cancelled or rescheduled after this date are subject to the following charges:

Cancellation/rescheduling 21 days prior to the start date of the seminar will incur a 50% penalty
Cancellation/rescheduling 14 days prior to the start date of the seminar will incur a 75% penalty
Cancellation/rescheduling 7 days prior to the start date of the seminar will incur a 100% penalty

Substitutions, from the same company only, may be made at any time and must be submitted in writing. IISE reserves the right to cancel seminars three weeks prior to the start date due to insufficient registration. Registrants will be notified promptly if a seminar is cancelled. It is recommended that participants not purchase airline tickets until they are certain the seminar will NOT be cancelled due to low enrollment.

Weather Statement

Occasionally the Atlanta weather may necessitate the last minute cancellation of an upcoming or in-progress seminar. This is entirely out of our control. When this does happen, IISE will work with the participants to find an equivalent training opportunity. The safety of our participants and instructors is our primary concern.
